Juanita Greene is running for Wooster City Council in the 3rd Ward. Juanita has been an active member in Wayne County, in Wooster City. Now retired from the Wayne County Department of Job and Family Services as a Disability Determination Specialist, and now works part-time as a Residential Support Staff for One-Eighty. Through One-Eighty She had served on the Circle Coalition Committee and is on the Cultural Awareness Committee. She has also spent over ten plus years in the Wooster Orrville NAACP. She served as a Youth Advisor, Secretary, Vice President and 4 years as President. She now remains an active member of its Executive Committee and a member of the Legal Re-dress Committee and the Criminal Justice Committee. She re-established the Wooster/Orville Youth and College Chapter for the NAACP.
Juanita Greene has volunteered at Second Baptist Soup Kitchen. She currently works with Behind Bars and Beyond and The Community Support Group to help returning felons get a second chance by helping them clear their record and seek employment. She has received the Athena Leadership Award which is presented to women who excel in the work force, who serve the community, and mentor young women in the community.
It is now time for Juanita Greene to put all her work and community experience to be a member of Wooster City Council’s 3rd ward to help pass legislation that matters to the citizens of Wooster.
She has the passion, experience and leadership skills to be Wooster City Council!

ATHENA winner Greene: ‘One person can make a difference’
WOOSTER — Juanita Greene grew up in The Bronx and she still wears a little of the accent to prove it.
She’s got some fond memories, too.
“In the neighborhood, there was always someone sitting in he porch, someone looking out a window,” she said. “And when my dad retired, he was the mayor of the block.”
